Not Part of the Plan- GirlDefined

I was so thankful to again be chosen to be a part of the launch team for GirlDefined’s new book: “Not Part of the Plan: Trusting God with the twists and turns of your story.” I was so excited when they announced this new book. I’ve been so encouraged as I’ve followed the story of Bethany’s long journey of singleness and Kristen’s trial of infertility. Their openness to these struggles have encouraged me so much as I see their love for the Lord grow even in the midst of hard. I remember hearing Kristen share of her third miscarriage at the 2019 GirlDefined conference- months after a big and hard life disappointment for me. I was lost and confused and my only hope was to cling to the Lord as my life didn’t go in the direction I had hoped it would. And hearing the struggle Kristen had gone through and how the Lord comforted and worked in her heart was so helpful.  I was so excited to read this book. I’ve loved every book of theirs. Amish Books

The Healing~
This book was about a Samuel Fisher and Esther Beiler, who both are struggling with what to do next in life.
Samuel had just lost his wife and moved, with his four children to a new place.  He struggles with raising his children and moving on in life.
Esther's parents left her, so they could go help her brother who was sick.  She is now all alone, making her own decisions.
She watches Samuel kids for him and she learns to love them and soon Samuel also.  But jealousies arise and it looks like Samuel could never love her back.
Will these two ever find happiness again?

The Reckoning~
Katie Fisher had found her birth mother, left her Amish life behind, and began to live in the big city with all the things she had missed as a Plain Girl.
But could she really be happy in such a place.  Doubts and memories start to arise and Katie no longer knows what to do with her life.  She could continue to live in her mother's big house and marry a man who seemed interested in her.  Or she could go back home and marry the man whom she loved long ago.
This book was good and better than the book, The Healing, because it gave more details about what the Amish believes, and the difference of their believes than what the Bible really teaches.
