Not Part of the Plan- GirlDefined

I was so thankful to again be chosen to be a part of the launch team for GirlDefined’s new book: “Not Part of the Plan: Trusting God with the twists and turns of your story.” I was so excited when they announced this new book. I’ve been so encouraged as I’ve followed the story of Bethany’s long journey of singleness and Kristen’s trial of infertility. Their openness to these struggles have encouraged me so much as I see their love for the Lord grow even in the midst of hard. I remember hearing Kristen share of her third miscarriage at the 2019 GirlDefined conference- months after a big and hard life disappointment for me. I was lost and confused and my only hope was to cling to the Lord as my life didn’t go in the direction I had hoped it would. And hearing the struggle Kristen had gone through and how the Lord comforted and worked in her heart was so helpful.  I was so excited to read this book. I’ve loved every book of theirs. It’s so personable and so very practical. They share ...

A few more books from The Chronicles of Narnia serious

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe:

4 children, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, are all staying (because of the war) in a big house, with a professor taking care of them.  The house is a very interesting house with cool and fun things to do and look at,  but the most interesting thing is a wardrobe, which take all four children to a far away land where it always snows, called Narnia.  The children have an exciting, and scary adventure helping the Narianens to defeat he White Witch.  It was a fun book to read!!!

The Horse and His Boy:

A boy Shasta lives with, who he thought, was his very cruel father, until one day a Tashbaan comes with his horse to try to buy Shasta.  Shasta finds out that the cruel fisherman he has lived with all his life, is not his father.  He finds out the horse can talk, so they both are going to Narnia.  Avravis and her talking horse (long story, read it!) meet Shasta and his talking horse and all 4 of them are going to Narnia.  With great adventure ahead of them.  A great book!!!

Prince Caspian:

The 4 children from the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, go back to Narnia after leaving it.  They are now to help Prince Caspian defeat his uncle who is taking over Narnia. An exciting great book filled with adventures.
