Not Part of the Plan- GirlDefined

I was so thankful to again be chosen to be a part of the launch team for GirlDefined’s new book: “Not Part of the Plan: Trusting God with the twists and turns of your story.” I was so excited when they announced this new book. I’ve been so encouraged as I’ve followed the story of Bethany’s long journey of singleness and Kristen’s trial of infertility. Their openness to these struggles have encouraged me so much as I see their love for the Lord grow even in the midst of hard. I remember hearing Kristen share of her third miscarriage at the 2019 GirlDefined conference- months after a big and hard life disappointment for me. I was lost and confused and my only hope was to cling to the Lord as my life didn’t go in the direction I had hoped it would. Gold Medal Murder; Nany Drew & the Hardy Boys super Mystery

Nancy Drew and her friends Bess and George, are great friends with Olympic fencer Lexi Adams.  The big Olympics are coming up and Lexi will be leaving to go to LA, in a few days.  But she has been receiving death threats, and is very nervous, so Nancy and her friends decide to go also, to protected her, but mostly to solve the mystery.

Joe and Frank Hardy are undercover spy's, and are working for the ATAC, who just gave them  a new mystery to solve.  Scott Trevorr, swimmer Olympic, has received death threat and the Hardys need to protect him.

So.. Nancy Drew and Hardy boys end up in LA together working on the same Mystery, but can they solve it, without getting hurt?  I enjoyed this book a lot!!!

  1. That is a coincidence, I forgot to mention in my last post that in 1984 the summer Olympics were held in Los Angeles in 1984. Your mother and I participated in the "Olympics" at our elementary school in good old Los Angeles unified school district that year. I wanted a medal sooo bad. Never won one. I think maybe we should have hopped on the short bus that morning and tried out for the Special Olympics and maybe we could have had a chance. Maybe not. Good thing you have your Dad's athletic ability.

The only Mysteries I ever had in L.A. were trying to get around on the freeways, never solved that one.
