Not Part of the Plan- GirlDefined

I was so thankful to again be chosen to be a part of the launch team for GirlDefined’s new book: “Not Part of the Plan: Trusting God with the twists and turns of your story.” I was so excited when they announced this new book. I’ve been so encouraged as I’ve followed the story of Bethany’s long journey of singleness and Kristen’s trial of infertility. Their openness to these struggles have encouraged me so much as I see their love for the Lord grow even in the midst of hard. I remember hearing Kristen share of her third miscarriage at the 2019 GirlDefined conference- months after a big and hard life disappointment for me. I was lost and confused and my only hope was to cling to the Lord as my life didn’t go in the direction I had hoped it would. And hearing the struggle Kristen had gone through and how the Lord comforted and worked in her heart was so helpful.  I was so excited to read this book. I’ve loved every book of theirs. The Clue of the Leaning Chimney: The series of Nancy Drew

Nancy Drew and her friend Bess were driving back to their homes when they almost hit a mysteries guy. The man was picking something up and did not see Nancy's car coming. Nancy got out of her car, along with Bess, to see if the man was hurt, thankfully he was not. But he was not very nice either, telling the girls to go away. Nancy picked up the package and looked inside of it. Inside of the package was a beautiful Chinese, porcelain vase, painted green, with an enormous red claw. When Nancy and Bess started home again Nancy told Bess about the vase. Bess said, "That sounds like my cousin dick's vase!" Nancy and Bess drove by Dick's pottery store to find the vase missing. It happens that the vase does not belong to Dick but to a Chinese friend named Mr. Soong. Nancy and her friends have an adventure solving the mystery.

    Nancy Drew should read a book for a change. She could start by reading a drivers manual. Must have been a really neato vase. How was the man mysterious? Let me know so I can look out for these kinds of men while out delivering pizzas.
