Not Part of the Plan- GirlDefined

I was so thankful to again be chosen to be a part of the launch team for GirlDefined’s new book: “Not Part of the Plan: Trusting God with the twists and turns of your story.” I was so excited when they announced this new book. I’ve been so encouraged as I’ve followed the story of Bethany’s long journey of singleness and Kristen’s trial of infertility. Their openness to these struggles have encouraged me so much as I see their love for the Lord grow even in the midst of hard. I remember hearing Kristen share of her third miscarriage at the 2019 GirlDefined conference- months after a big and hard life disappointment for me. I was lost and confused and my only hope was to cling to the Lord as my life didn’t go in the direction I had hoped it would. The Death Cure~
This book is the third book in the Maze Runner series.  I will say that I did like this book more then the second book, though the first one is my favorite.  Thomas and his friends are done with W.I.C.K.E.D. using them, so they make a rash decision to run and get away.  But it isn't much better out in the real world.  The whole place is infected with a deadly virus called the Flare and Thomas isn't sure what to do with himself.  He doesn't remember much about the world because his memory was swiped before he went into the maze.
The world isn't a good place to live and it looks like the human race will be swiped out for good or will it?

A Tale of Two Sons~
I actually really enjoyed this book.  It is a book that takes us deeper into the parable Jesus told to the Pharisees, the parable of the Prodigal Son.
I learned a lot more about this parable and why Jesus told it.  It helped me also to realize that this parable is not just a story, but something with meaning that wasn't only for the audience of Jesus when He told it, but also for us who are reading it!
