Not Part of the Plan- GirlDefined

I was so thankful to again be chosen to be a part of the launch team for GirlDefined’s new book: “Not Part of the Plan: Trusting God with the twists and turns of your story.” I was so excited when they announced this new book. I’ve been so encouraged as I’ve followed the story of Bethany’s long journey of singleness and Kristen’s trial of infertility. Their openness to these struggles have encouraged me so much as I see their love for the Lord grow even in the midst of hard. I remember hearing Kristen share of her third miscarriage at the 2019 GirlDefined conference- months after a big and hard life disappointment for me. I was lost and confused and my only hope was to cling to the Lord as my life didn’t go in the direction I had hoped it would. And hearing the struggle Kristen had gone through and how the Lord comforted and worked in her heart was so helpful.  I was so excited to read this book. I’ve loved every book of theirs. More exciting books!!!

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the serious of the Chronicles of Narnia:
Edmund and Lucy Pevensies and their selfless cousin, Eustace Scrubb, go back to Narnia, for the Pevensies 3 time and Scrubbs 1, on a thrilling voyage to find the 7 lords, who went missing years ago.  They have a fun time on sea and visiting strange islands.  This book was really good!!!

The Sliver Chair, the serious of The Chronicles of Narnia:
This book is about the  adventure of Jill Pole and her new friend Eustace Scrubb.  They both travelled magically to Narnia were they get a request (from Aslen) to find a prince who has been missing for 10 years.  They're excitement soon turns around when they get into a lot of different dangers.  What a great book this was also!!!!

 The Whipping Boy:
The prince, believes he has a boring life and decides to run away with his whipping boy.  While running away they get caught by thieves, who make Jemmy (the whipping boy), who they believe is the prince, to write "his" father to make him pay for his son life. The boys have a great adventure, and they both learned  something of value.  I liked this book!!
