Not Part of the Plan- GirlDefined

I was so thankful to again be chosen to be a part of the launch team for GirlDefined’s new book: “Not Part of the Plan: Trusting God with the twists and turns of your story.” I was so excited when they announced this new book. I’ve been so encouraged as I’ve followed the story of Bethany’s long journey of singleness and Kristen’s trial of infertility. Their openness to these struggles have encouraged me so much as I see their love for the Lord grow even in the midst of hard. I remember hearing Kristen share of her third miscarriage at the 2019 GirlDefined conference- months after a big and hard life disappointment for me. Five kids and seven adults go camping. They go swimming and hiking. Then food starts to disappear.  And also there is a couple of  creepie guys who, are trying to cut down all the trees in the forest.  Can the five kids find who is stealing their food, and save the forest?

  1. We we were a lot younger your Mom and I went camping with a church group in Yosemite. One night we were asleep a big bear came and stole our food we had hanging in the trees. I was so big it reached all the way up and pulled the food down. The group leader said that the bear was sniffing around my head as I was asleep. I must be a sound sleeper and not look very good to eat.

  2. Hi Alyssa. That sounds very interesting. Let me know how it turns out. When I was 5, my mother and father went to Yosemite, and a bear came into our cabin we were staying at, and ate a chocolate cake my mother made. That is as close to a bear I've ever gotten. With all my love, grandma king
